PRODUCT FAQS
Should my swimsuit feel snug?
To answer simply: yes, it’s completely normal! But how do I know if what I’m experiencing isn’t normal? We've put together a really detailed blog where we explain what’s to be expected when it comes to trying on your first Baiia swimsuit and tips to getting it on that first time. Read here.
Bikini vs Wrapsuit - What's the difference?
The major difference between the two styles is how many pieces they're composed of.
The 3-piece Wrapsuit consists of 1 chest piece, 1 body piece and 1 detachable tie; all together they complete a full swimsuit, which you can then reverse, and mix & match with other Wrapsuits to create multiple unique looks.
The 4-piece Bikini consists of the Bikini top made of 2 chest pieces and 1 detachable tie, and the ultra-high waisted Bikini Bottom - equalling 4 pieces when purchased all together! The Bikini can be worn like a classic Bikini style or made to look like a Wrapsuit, as well as mix & matched with other Bikinis.
How do I put on my Baiia suit?
What are the pieces & how do I put them on correctly? Amber, designer & director of Baiia Swim, explains the Baiia swimsuit designs, how-to wear, and how it accentuates all the right places.

My suit is too hard to get on, help!
When you receive your suit, we recommend gently stretching the leg openings, as well as all seams in their natural direction. This will warm the suit up to being worn and will stretch the plastic elastic that is inside all seams. We also recommend putting the chest piece on from the legs up until it softens.
Remember that the Wrapsuit contains no padding or wire, so the support is inbuilt into the garment with the thick and luxurious fabrics. Expect a firm fit for the first few wears, as the nature of our fabric is to begin as a firm fit and soften with wear while still retaining support. This is particularly true for any of our triple-lined suits, and it's common for the suit to feel very firm around the hips.
Do I size down in your suits?
Not exactly! While our suits are true to Australian standard sizing, it’s common for women to size down in Baiia suits. The reason for this is because we most commonly recommend sizes based on measurements rather than dress sizes, so many women find their best fit in a different size to what they typically wear in clothing.
If two or more of your measurements fit within one size, we tend to recommend that one for the perfect fit. If your measurements span three or more sizes, we tend to recommend taking the one in the middle. If you feel you have a particularly short or long torso, you may find a better fit in one size down or up. We suggest emailing us at fitexpert@baiia.com.au prior to purchase if you have any questions or concerns about your correct size.
Will my Baiia suit ride up when I walk?
Because of the type of seams we use they can move a little more than you may be used to with a traditional seam. Occasionally this can happen more frequently with an incorrect size, however this is a common occurrence with our suits.
Our invisible seams are created to have a smooth finish and no harsh lines on the skin, so the appearance of these can vary on different body shapes. If you haven't already, we recommend watching Nat's video on this; at 3:20 she explains why the invisible seams move and the benefits of an invisible seam versus a traditional seam.
Will my swimsuit stain?
Our fabrics are resistant to suncream and oils, but we still recommend taking care when wearing sunscreen and/or makeup, as well as taking care to remove marks as soon as possible to prevent staining.
A common ingredient in sunscreen known as avobenzone can contribute to stains, so you may wish to use sunscreens without this component.
For more tips on removing sunscreen and how to avoid staining, we found this article that may help.
Will my white suit go see-through?
No. Our white swimsuits are triple-lined in order to stop transparency while wet and dry, so no colour should be visible. Please keep in mind however that while colour won’t be visible, the suit does not have any padding or wire so body outlines can be visible, particularly for lighter coloured swimsuits. You may choose to wear padding cups which will be held in place by the thick and supportive fabrics, provided you have the correct size.
My suit is too loose?
This often happens with a suit that is too large. With the correct size, all parts of the suit should feel firm against the skin at first wear and space is usually an indicator of incorrect size. Solutions range from exchanging sizes or making use of our alterations assistance program. For specific solutions, please email us at fitexpert@baiia.com.au to undergo a fit consultation where we can best advise. For more information about our fit consultations, click here.
Is there bust support?
Our Wrapsuits feature as much bust support possible within our reversible design that is wire-free and unpadded to allow for full reversibility. The construction of our Wrapsuits itself naturally assists in holding the girls up with our firm fabrics designed to fit A-H cup. We suggest going for a triple-lined suit for the best support and compression possible. There is also a halter-tie technique our customers love that helps create more security and lift (beautiful Natalie demonstrates in her review video here at 9:03)
As this is a common question with our beautiful larger busted ladies, we recommend reading our article to hopefully answer your questions here.
How much bum-coverage will I have?
Ultimately our suits do sit differently on each woman depending on their body shape and torso length which can create more or less coverage. Our Wrapsuit is designed to be a classic cut, not quite cheeky and not quite full coverage. We recommend reading our blog-post dedicated to bum-coverage that features images of different sized models and how it sits for them here.
